It has been a glory to God to watch New Creation after New Creation come through the The Weigh Down Ministries and The Remnant Fellowship Church. Permanent Weight Loss, being set free from substance abuse and other destructive habits, reconciled marriages, restored finances …… the list of blessings from repentance has been incredible.
A foundational teaching of Gwen Shamblin has always been to honor and obey our authorities starting with God, Jesus Christ, Husbands and parents, teachers and bosses. Because of this, one of the greatest areas of blessing has been people in the workplace. Week after week we hear testimonies of new jobs, accolades, promotions, raises and blessings where people work. It is even more remarkable when you consider the economic climate in The United States.
When the Remnant Fellowship started, it was always on Gwen’s heart to help meet the spiritual and physical needs of the Membership and because of the importance that a job has in each person’s life, much time has been put into assisting people in every aspect of the job search – from resume preparation, networking, interviewing, follow up and on the job guidance for all types of situations once a person is employed. Again, the blessings abound!!!
The Job Placement Ministry was not only put in place formally to continue doing what has been done for years but to take it to an even greater level of preparation, organization and assistance. Leadership along with John Radebaugh are helping to lead this team in assisting the Membership. Connie Dansby, Judy Baldwin and others have jumped in to help with resume preparation and an all encompassing document is being worked on that will be tremendously helpful for everyone starting the job search, looking for a new job or changing careers. Stay tuned in the near future for this to be available for everyone and we pray that God will continue to lift up the humble and obedient in the workplace so that He is glorified in ALL THINGS!!!!
