Week 1 Recap:

On Monday morning our tribe had our focus up time in our room, where we prayed, introduced each other, went over our boundaries, (the boys were very good at remembering all of the sweet guidelines set in place for their safety) and refreshed our memories on the scriptures we learned last year: 2 Peter 1: 5-8 and 1 Corinthians 13! The boys quickly picked up on the scriptures again, and it was so sweet to see them all not only reciting scripture but putting it into practice throughout the day. After our focus up time we went outside for water play! Lots of  the boys had prayed we could do water play first, and it was sweet to have answered prayers first thing in the morning! We then had lunch under the big tree out front and a very exciting game of sharks and minnows! Lunch was followed by quiet time, an all camp devotional, outdoor play, snack, and then sharing all of the boys’ answered prayers and blessings at the end of the day! God is so good!

The rest of the week we had more water play with the slip n slide and pools; the sweet girls of Gad taught us the hand motions for 1 Corinthians 13; we played musical chairs, four square, volleyball, and soccer; we reviewed our dances to Jump Up and Focus Up; we had ice cream snacks; we got to listen to Mrs. Beth read us a chapter book; we got our camp workbooks and got to learn even more about this Connection with God! We got to read the beginning of Genesis, watch a Zion Youth video, and always look for ways to LOVE others and make others HAPPY! It was an over the top blessed week! We thank you so much for your prayers, and praise God for everything He has allowed us  to do already!!

Since the boys had no problem remembering our scriptures from last year we decided to start working on a new one. We asked the boys what their favorite scripture was or what they wanted to learn, and we came up with Ephesians 6:10-18, The Armor of God! We will be working on this over the summer, and it would be wonderful for the parents to be able to read through this with your boys on the weekends so they can keep it fresh in their minds and hearts!

Thank you for allowing us to take care of your children this summer! If you need anything please let us know!! We are only a text or phone call away! Love, Allyson & Beth
