Praise God for another powerful week at Remnant Fellowship Summer Camp! The unity is amazing and the spiritual growth we counselors are witnessing is phenomenal. The camp work book has been such a wonderful tool to keep us focused on specific characteristics of Jesus Christ to ponder and imitate each day. Gwen Shamblin’s teachings have been powerful and so encouraging!!! This week Gwen explained how satan is a bully and he likes to pick on the righteous and satan wants you to feel like a victim. However, the true saints of God were called to stand up against evil by hating sin and to not give in to the spirit of fear. Gwen reminded us of the scripture in 2 Timothy 1:6-7, that God did not give us a spirit of timidity. We are going to get to fight harder against evil and make God look good by our overcoming Sin and standing up against evil! Yay!!!
This week Asher got to serve the counselors and other campers by using their gifts of nail art. We got to watch a movie and compare and contrast the symbolism of good versus evil. We played name games to get to know the names of the other campers. God allowed for the perfect weather for swimming and using the slip n slide at the church grounds. God allowed so much in three days and we are very grateful for His ideas, activities and protection. Thank you God!
